Offline maps when cell data not available

Are the maps cached for offline viewing whilst travelling? I often run into situations where I’ll lose cell coverage for periods of time. Will motowhere continue to function or will it stop until the phone is back in mobile reception range again?

No - offline is not available at this stage.

Thanks for confirming this Jules. So best way to use MW is to plan online then upload to google maps or dedicated GPS unit ?

Yep that’s the best bet if you need offline support.

Another way to get offline support is to download the GPX file to your phone, then open it in Guru Maps. I’ve only used the free version. No turn by turn directions, but good enough to motorcycle by and the price is right.
