There doesn’t seem to be a lot different between trip 1 & 2; both equally good to do. What do you see as the benefit of one over the other?

The roads around Port Macdonnell and Mt Gambier are really worth doing, but as this trip is planned for shortly after restrictions ease, we may not be able to cross the South Australian Border. The alternative route stays inside Victoria.
